Snakes in the grass

Faked "folk art" iron snakes were offered at shows in Pennsylvania and New Hampshire in the late 1990s. The new snakes are made of old iron files. They are painted and come in several sizes. All were priced at several hundred dollars. Two similar snakes were withdrawn from a Skinner's Americana sale because of concerns about age.
