New Lunch Boxes ArriveBy Mark Chervenka
New lunch boxes arrive
Copies of 1950s classic metal lunchbox are being reproduced. The new boxes are copies of some of the most desirable and expensive originals. The three boxes shown here, though, don't seem to pose a serious problem.
First, they are all clearly marked G-Whiz; and Brainiaks, Inc.;, Van Nuys, CA 91405. Actual size of the area shown in Fig. 2 is 2¾″ left to right. This mark is on the side band of the boxes.
Both new and old lunchboxes are of very similar construction. The new lids and bottoms may show up as replacement parts to upgrade worn originals.
