More L.G. Wright Molds Sold

In April 2000, the Bob Goodman Auction Co. of Hot Springs, Arkansas auctioned the final remaining glass molds from the now out of business L. G. Wright Glass company. These were molds not offered at the May 1999 sale of the Wright factory contents in West Virginia.
The molds included: large Grape & Cable four footed bowl; small Grape & Cable four footed bowl; large Daisy & Button fan vase; large Eye-Winker open compote; Sweet-Heart covered sugar; small Wildrose bowl; large Wildrose bowl and a small Embossed bowl.
Mosser Glass Co. in Cambridge, Ohio bidding by telephone beat out four active floor bidders to win all eight complete molds. Mosser paid a little over $6000 total for the eight molds. Mosser Glass will mark these molds with their own logo, the letter M inside an outline of the state of Ohio
Several lesser molds and mold parts were also offered at this auction. These were bought by W.C "Red" Roetteis of Albuquerque, NM. Roetteis is a former salesman for Wright Glass.
These molds were as follows: Tree Stump toothpick; Higbee Panel Thistle wine; three shape molds (no pattern); and two plungers.
