Retro Pitcher Copied

As the popularity of mid-20th century designs has increased, so have the reproductions which copy that look. This new 8-inch ceramic pitcher in a green glaze is typical of originals made in the United States from the mid-1940s through the late 1950s.

The streamlined body and swept-back handle are similar to, but not an exact copy of, collectible vintage pieces made by Hall China and other American potters. The new piece was offered for $19 through a nationally circulated giftware catalog.
