Lemonade jar has 1940s-1950s look
This new lemonade jar copies the look of similar originals used in restaurants and other commercial locations ca. 1940-1960s.
It is made of porcelain with a bright yellow body glaze. "Refreshing" is in red; "Lemonade" is in black. The jar holds 2½ gallons of fluid. The spout is solid brass. It measures 14 inches tall, 10 inches in diameter.
Although we couldn't find an exact old counterpart, the new piece is generally similar to vintage shapes known to exist. There is no permanent mark on the new jar. Most, but not all, period originals are marked with the name of an American pottery manufacturer.
